So why did they go to San Francisco? Something to do with Visas? That was something I never heard of before. Wow, what a great letter-writer Elder Brigham is! Thanks for sharing the letters :)

Yeah, all the missionaries to Tahiti have to appear in person at the French Consulate to apply for a Visa in person. So apparently each of them gets a field trip to San Francisco, to do that.

June 10, 2015: Snail mail is not recommended from this time forward. Most letters have taken 2-3 weeks. However, some have arrived more than 2 months after they were sent. All of our packages have been delivered, and they have taken 3-11 weeks to arrive. A box takes a long time but a big envelope is usually pretty quick. Mom likes the USPS flat rate priority mail envelopes that go anywhere for $24.95.
